DCRW2026 will take place on 17, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24 June 2026 and marks the fifth edition of the Dutch Caribbean Research Week. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required for all participants.
DCRW2026
During DCRW2026, research and practice come together in a rich and varied programme. Throughout the week, participants can take part in:
- inspiring lectures and panel discussions,
- poster presentations by researchers from across the Kingdom,
- cultural intermezzi, and
- networking opportunities.
The programme offers space for dialogue between researchers, policymakers and societal partners, with a strong focus on issues relevant to the Dutch Caribbean.
Physical and online participation
This year, DCRW2026 features physical events on all six Dutch Caribbean islands: Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Saba, Sint Maarten and Sint Eustatius. To ensure broad accessibility, all physical events will also be live‑streamed, allowing participants to follow the programme online, both within and outside the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Due to the six‑hour time difference, the programme will take place in the morning in the Caribbean region and in the afternoon in the European Netherlands. More information about the physical events and locations will follow soon.
Registration
Participation in DCRW2026 is free, but registration is mandatory. Please note that registering as a participant is separate from submitting an abstract for a poster or oral presentation.
